LOVE STORIES 爱の物语 2019

“LOVE STORIES 爱の物语 2019” is a platform created to spread Pastel Nagomi Art to as many individuals as possible; so that more will benefit from the therapeutic nature of this art. We exhibited more than 100 artworks expressing each painter's deepest feelings of love for family, friends, people, places, pets, nature, things, scenery, special moments and even food. Visitors can participate in workshops happening throughout the exhibition days to have a taste of this unique art form.

LOVE STORIES 爱の物语 2022

Following the success of the first exhibition, we planned our second exhibition which was supposed to be held in 2020. However, we had to shelf the plan because of the COVID-19 pandemic. During this period, we continued to share this art via free Zoom workshops. At one point, we had 1000 online participants from both local and overseas attending the Zoom class. Thanks to the wonders of technology, we could reach out to fellow Pastel Nagomi Art enthusiasts in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Macao and Taiwan.

The wish to hold the exhibition is always in our plan and we are grateful we did it in 2022. The exhibition was held at a bigger venue and the number of paintings on display doubled those in 2019. This is also the first time we have participants from overseas. In addition, we are very honored to have DPM Mr Heng Swee Keat and the founder of Pastel Nagomi Art, Mr Hosoya Norikatsu, and Mr Yandramin Halim (Faber-Castell) to grace the event.

Venue: Bedok Community Centre

When: 12 - 20 November 2022

LOVE STORIES 爱の物语 2023

Love Stories 2023 is our third Art Exhibition since it began in 2019. Mr. Hosoya Norikatsu mentioned that running the exhibition for the third time is a tough task. After facing difficulties in the first two exhibitions, some might have given up. However, Mr. Hosoya highlights that, once we overcome those challenges, there's a special significance in reaching the third edition. It's a journey of resilience and learning, and Love Stories 2023 represents not just a celebration of love through art, but also a symbol of determination and joy that comes from overcoming hurdles to create something truly remarkable.

This exhibition has encouraged more seniors to share their love stories through art. They are enthusiastic and excited about the opportunity to paint and use this creative outlet to express their emotions. It's heartening to see how the event has inspired and empowered seniors to engage in the artistic process and share their unique love narratives through the medium of painting.
